Teaching Surgeons, Transforming Lives
Our goal is to help highly experienced surgeons adopt new methods and then use them to transform the lives of children in their own communities.
In Hanoi, we had the privilege of collaborating with a talented and experienced facial surgeon who wanted to learn our regenerative surgery microcolumn fat injection method. Over the course of weeks, we worked side-by-side discussing patient selection, refining the unique treatment planning process, sharing techniques, and providing hands-on operating room training.
As her skills and confidence grew, she became proficient in the method. We were delighted to provide her with a set of specialized instruments that we developed in collaboration with Micrins/Renaissance Surgical specifically for the microcolumn fat injection technique.

After completing her Phase I training, she began independently evaluating patients and sending photographs through WhatsApp for discussion. Together, we reviewed potential candidates and exchanged ideas regarding treatment planning. Before long, she was successfully performing the procedure on her own.
This young boy is one example.
Although his cleft lip had been repaired, he was left with a significant soft tissue deficiency in the central face. His upper lip and midface lacked volume, creating an appearance that continued to draw attention to his facial difference.
Using the microcolumn fat injection method she had learned, along with the specialized instrumentation she was able to restore the facial volume he needed. The result was a more balanced, natural appearance and a brighter future for this child.
The photographs below tell the story better than words ever could.
This is exactly why our regenerative surgery program exists.
Our goal is to teach, mentor, and empower our international colleagues so they can continue helping children with facial deformities long after we leave.
When one surgeon learns a new skill, hundreds of future patients may benefit.
That is sustainable global medicine.
